For volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering! You can get involved regularly, from time to time in individual activities or as a company/group.

Three steps to commitment:

  1. Please arrange a  consultation (in person, by phone or video) with us for the placement.
  2. During the consultation, we will discuss various  volunteering opportunities and you will receive the organizations' contact details.
  3. Get in touch with the organization and arrange an initial meeting.

There are also checklists for initial interviews, information on insurance cover, qualifications and (extended) certificates of good conduct under the heading  "Finding a volunteer - what to do next".

NRW volunteer card and NRW anniversary volunteer card

The NRW volunteer card and the NRW anniversary volunteer card combine the appreciation of civic engagement with a practical benefit: People who are particularly committed to the common good can use these cards to take advantage of a wide range of offers at reduced rates throughout the state. The city of Bonn has been involved in the NRW volunteer card project from the outset and the NRW anniversary volunteer card introduced in 2022.
