"We give the commitment a face"
In recent years, many volunteers have been photographed while carrying out their commitment, for example in the areas of disaster control, city management, neighborhood assistance and sustainability.
Monika Fritzsche has been awarded the NRW anniversary volunteer card for her 25 years of civic engagement.

"My greatest pleasure is to bring joy to others." Monika Fritzsche is President of the kfd Elferratsfrauen in Bonn-Oberkassel.
"The Rhenish carnival is integration and inclusion in action - I'm happy to get involved!" Marlies Stockhorst is involved in the Bonn Carnival Festival Committee to combine happy and peaceful celebrations with social commitment.
"Children are happy and open to inclusion - that's why I like being involved in the Kita." Tanja Rösgen and the children at the "Am Wolfsbach" daycare center live inclusion by playing together.
"I just enjoy helping my neighbor," Herbert Müller takes care of his out-of-town neighbor's flowers as part of the "Die Ledenshelfer" project.

"We get involved because it's fun to do something meaningful together." Jessica Kölsch and André Grimm are part of the water rescue team of the German Life Saving Association in Bonn.
"I'm involved because I'm fascinated by technology and I can help the public." Nils Broch is involved in the Röttgen volunteer fire department as a squad leader and in youth work.
"I get involved because I now have the time and opportunity to contribute to the community." Heike Trautmann and her dog Karl are involved in the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe e. V. rescue dog team.
"I'm involved because teamwork and helping other people are important to me." Annemarie Geyer runs first aid training courses at Malteser Hilfsdienst e. V.
"I get involved because I want to get to know new people and areas of work." Vinita Bujotzek is involved with the Beuel local branch of the German Federal Agency for Technical Relief.
"It's nice to be active and to be able to help". Anne Reetmeyer is a volunteer who leads the blood donation group at Bonn's German Red Cross.
"Others chase criminals - we take care of the victims." Dankward von Funck and around 20 other volunteers provide human support and personal assistance at the Bonn branch of the WEISSER RING.
"Turning a hobby into something good - I'm doing it, are you?" Francisco Lahora, volunteer referee and school soccer representative in Bonn
"We are committed to our region because help is also urgently needed right on our doorstep." Master painter Dirk Borsch supports the Wolke 7 daycare center.
"We support fair trade to make the world a fairer place." Isabell Lazar, Andreas Roeder, Kristin Spath and Ann-Kathrin and Markus Voge are involved in sales and educational activities at Weltladen Bonn e.V.
"It's fun to pass on my knowledge." Anton Sander supports senior citizens in the Friedrich-Ebert-Gymnasium's EULE project - "Pupils teach senior citizens".
"Cycling is good advice - I want to pass this on to others." Alfred Mertens is involved with Radsportfreunde e.V. Bonn-Duisdorf.
"My job is to encourage people." Werner Salz supports people looking for work as part of the Diakonie sponsorship model.
"I want to do something for others without benefiting myself." Lothar Kichner cooks once a week for the residents of Villa Emma e.G.
"It's a pleasure to help others." Helma Bunke is involved in the second-hand store of the Bonn / Rhein-Sieg Workers' Welfare Association.
"Commitment not only gives to others, but also to us!" Anke Jacobi and Roswitha Klasen hand out food from the Bonn food bank at the Bonn Verein für Gefährdetenhilfe e.V. (Bonn Association for Aid to the Vulnerable).
"Volunteering is part of my life". Ruth Herbrand is involved with the Society of Friends and Sponsors of the Old Cemetery in Bonn and has taken on a grave care sponsorship.
"It's so much fun to accompany a child in its development and to discover the world once again through the eyes of a child" Silke Gestrich is involved as a temporary grandmother
Posters of the Engagement Gallery
To illustrate this, we show you two examples of posters from the Engagement Gallery. Marlies Stockhorst (pictured left) is President of the Bonn Carnival Festival Committee and was photographed for the Commitment Gallery in recognition of the commitment she has shown to Bonn for many years. Tanja Rösgen (pictured right) is involved in the "Am Wolfsbach" Kita, where she brings the topic of inclusion to life in a playful way with the children.
You can view more posters from the Engagement Gallery in the windows of the Beuel Citizens' Office in Beuel Town Hall (Friedrich-Breuer-Straße 65, 53225 Bonn) from the square in front of the town hall. The posters will be exchanged there at regular intervals. The gallery will also be presented in other buildings (for example in the City Hall). Exhibition dates will be placed in the Engagement News.
